Veteran Homelessness is on the Rise
At THE BLOCK, ARMED FORCES FOUNDATION CIO, we recognise the urgent need to address the rising issue of veteran homelessness across the country. Many service personnel face the harsh reality of losing their homes due to various circumstances, including health issues, financial hardship, or domestic challenges. Our organisation is dedicated to providing immediate emergency accommodation and ongoing support tailored to each individual’s needs. Since founded in 2020, we have successfully housed over 200 street homeless veterans into safe, supported housing, with many progressing towards permanent housing solutions. We believe that pairing housing with specialised emotional and mental health support is essential in fostering lasting stability and hope for those who have served our nation.
Mental Health support for veterans
Our high street support office is open every weekday.
Monday to Friday 10:00am until 17:00.
Our staff can assist with one to one professional referrals to the veterans mental health service OP COURAGE and other veteran specialist services such as PTSD Resolution and Tom Harrison House.
We can also facilitate a wide number of alternative options for Veterans Health care, Just Ask the team.

On receipt of the referral, we will assess:
- The identity and service verification
- The immediate safety of the veteran
- Current housing situation
- Areas, levels, and complexity of need
- We will match with the appropriate support.
