We offer short- to medium-term accommodation options for veterans at risk of homelessness. We support our residents when recoving from physical or mental health difficulties following their time in service.
A place of dignity and a foundation for normal daily life.
Our Drop in center is open for local veterans three days a week, it provides a safe haven and access point veteran support services.

The Scope of the Blocks work is crisis prevention including housing, addiction and mental health support.

The Block is currently supporting Liverpool City Council and the government plan to end veterans homelessness in the U.K
(OP FORTITUDE).
To get support from the Block you must be
experiencing a homeless crisis.

Referrals to The Block can come from a range of sources, including, but not limited to: the homelessness sector such as Liverpool White Chapel, the veteran charity sector.
Local Authorities, His Majesties Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). The Defence Transition Service (DTS), The NHS(Merseycare) or directly from the veteran themselves.
Referrals can be made through this dedicate webpage, and telephone access.

On receipt of the referral, we will assess:
From an assessment of need, led by the veteran’s own choice, we will match the veteran with the appropriate supported housing or engage in tenancy sustainment activities to prevent homelessness occurring.

Veterans Mindfulness based stress reduction. (MBSR )
A non-clinical project that focuses on mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) therapy pathways in natural environments, designed by Veterans for Veterans, Armed Forces and the Blue Light Emergency services community.
A pilot project was funded by the National Lotto fund in 2020, the project is now awaiting funding to continue its aims.
Bringing like-minded people together to deliver mindfulness tools, soul training, respite.
It provides relief from stress / anxiety or burn out and we will look at overcoming any form of isolation and/or depression.
